Elephant Troupe
There are parts for six to ten students in this troupe. Characters can be played by boys or girls. These students should have a good ability to sing and should be comfortable marching.

Baby Elephant
Baby Elephant is a part of the elephant troupe and can be played by a girl or a boy. This character has a solo line in the song. This character must be comfortable marching and must have an ability singing.

Colonel Hathi
Colonel Hathi, the elephant, can be played by a boy or a girl. The character is in charge of the brigade, but is also a little forgetful. This character is good at giving commands, but doesn’t really understand what’s going on around him. This actor must be able to sing well and act like a forgetful drill sergeant.

Costume ideas - Elephant Troupe, Baby Elephant and Colonel Hathi
Grey long sleeve shirts and grey pants. Grey baseball hats with elephant ears attached. Baby elephant could have a tuff of brown fur on the top. Colonel Hathi could have a red or green men's suit jacket with leafy military insignia. Elephants need not be coordinated or matching.
