2019 Memorial Day will be celebrated on Monday, May 27.
Many people sing Patriotic songs to show respect for military persons who have fought for our freedom.

We will be having a group challenge on
a) Memorial Day Facts and
b) Singing Patriotic songs
Our Guest Teacher will choose SIX group leaders.
These group leaders will choose 4 to 5 students to be their group.
The winning team will be announced when Mrs. Root returns and that team will win candy.
MEMORIAL FACT CHALLENGE
Each team will get ONE board, ONE pencil and ONE worksheet.
Team Leaders will then watch the Memorial Day FACT video and write down as many answers as you can...
Then our Guest Teacher will collect the worksheets from each group. Teams leaders will put away board and pencils.
Each correct answer earns your team 5 points.
SINGING CHALLENGE
For this challenge, our Guest Teacher will be looking for groups that all sing with respect.
The Guest Teacher will award each group 0-50 points for each song.
You will hear the song TWICE. The first time you just listen and the second time you sing.
These group leaders will choose 4 to 5 students to be their group.
